Requirements for New Service

It's easy to apply for local Telephone Service!

 

Steelville Telephone Exchange, Inc., requires the following for new service:

• Must come into the business office in Steelville to fill out application.
   
• Must provide us with the current 911 address (physical location) of the residence. If this address is unknown, it can be obtained by calling the local 911 office at 775-4911.
   
• Must have a current valid driver’s license or some form of picture ID.
   
• Anyone living in the household over the age of 18 will be required to sign the application.
   
• Deposit amount is $75.00. One-half of this amount is required before service order can be processed, and the other half will be billed on the first month’s billing. In lieu of the deposit, a letter of credit from the previous phone company will be accepted.
